Media Trust is the UK’s leading media communications charity. For over 20 years, they have been helping charities and community groups to develop their voice, tell their stories and share the impact of their work.
They achieve this by convening a network of professionals from across the media, digital and advertising industry to share their communications knowledge, expertise, skills and time with charitable organisations. Their passion, creativity and skills enable Media Trust to make a huge difference to so many charities.
The charity is keen to better improve its communication and engagement with a growing number of media volunteers and charities, and applied to CITA for IT Consultancy around their website and IT systems. The aim was to improve efficiency, gain a clearer understanding of any risks or gaps associated with their systems, and to begin to develop an IT strategy in relation to Media Trust’s website and use of a CRM.
In September two of CITA’s volunteers, Steve Smith and David Rippon, worked with the charity to assess the main areas of concern and create a high level strategy that would help Media Trust to make the best use of the technology at its disposal.
“CITA provided Media Trust with two strategic volunteers who spent a day facilitating a workshop with our core IT users. The day was well structured and helped us work out our top level IT needs and issues. CITA then provided an action plan on how to tackle this and got our feedback to see if this was practical. Based on the advice we have already carried out an assessment of our CRM and using a template provided carried out an audit of potential IT risks.” Lisa Silver, Finance and Resources Director, Media Trust
